Meet customer #1 - Nicole from Indiana...
Thank you for loving my collection as much as I do!
Opening Day for Booth #18 - April 1st
A sneak peak at my "Gi Gi's" Collection every week but keep in mind, pictures do not do Booth #18 justice. You have to walk, jog, or drive on up to 415 Race Street to experience the vibe of VINTAGE VENUE in person. Tomorrow is the "official" Opening Day for Booth #18, but guess what? Today, I met Nicole from Indiana and I just couldn't say no. She convinced me to make my first sale, a figurehead-style mold, most likely used to design other female figures to be mounted on the bow of a boat. Nicole said, "she called to me and I just have to have her." This is exactly the vibe I want visitors to Booth #18 to feel. I want customers to explore, dig a little, ooh & aahh, laugh out loud, and have fun. If you find a treasure, then great. If not on that day, come back again. I'll be replenishing Booth #18 often. That's the part where I have fun. I love filling every nook and corner with cool things. You'll see what I mean when you come by and visit.
I'm so glad it I met Nicole this afternoon. Not only did we share the same interests, but we talked and talked like old friends. She was exuberant, and soulful and I wish she lived closer. Even with a not-so-slight age difference, we felt like kindred spirits. Below is a photo of Nicole, who happens to have a child in college in the State of Maryland, so I have this funny feeling that we will meet again... Thanks, Nicole for stopping by!

Curating a love of simple treasures of days gone by.
Step into booth #18 at Vintage Venue, Downtown Cambridge in the old Lutheran Mission Society Building, 415 Race Street, and be transformed into times gone by, where simpler was better, and joy was found in surrounding yourself with simple beauty. From the weathered patina of century-old wood to the delicate curve of storied porcelain, every piece in La Collection de Gi Gi is chosen for its ability to transform a house into a home filled with character, soul & longevity, sprinkled with a little humor. Explore downtown Cambridge and find the treasure that has been waiting for you. Like the little stubborn, strong-willed girl of days gone by, you can find my booth in the very back corner of Vintage Venue. It's not a punishment, but a re-birth of sorts.
My new adventure...
Visit my booth...opening soon!
I am delighted to welcome you to my curated corner at Vintage Venue. My little 8'x 8' space, that may be small, but is mighty. If you didn't know by now, I am retiring after 28 years with Dorchester County Public Schools, and know there will be a little void in my life after devoting such a long time of helping youth, as both a Media Specialist and Career Coach. Although, I will miss being surrounded by students and colleagues that I have grown to love, I decided life is too short to not share my real passion and that is collecting and surrounding myself with beautiful, old, sometimes worn & sometimes very funky "THINGS". While some people love new & shiny things, I have always been drawn to those used, worn treasures that tend to have story all of their own. I adore vintage treasures that sometimes find me. I have curated a collection of these treasures, and want to share them with you. My new venture, I hope will help me to inspire you. My little eclectic space (Booth #18) is located in Vintage Venue, in the heart of downtown Cambridge.
Come by & check it out.
